Travel / Seattle Autumn Hiking

 

The most popular outdoor activity in Greater Washington is of course Hiking! The unique geographical conditions are home to several well-known national parks in the United States, which also attracts hiking enthusiasts from all over the world. Recently, Seattle is in the golden autumn and October has beautiful autumn scenery, which is perfect for hiking! The team leader will introduce to you some trails near Seattle that are more suitable for novice friends who usually like to stay at home~

 

1. Alki Beach Park

The most recommended trail for beginners! The length is only 2.5 miles. Even if you don’t exercise, you won’t feel tired while walking~ This trail stretches from Alki Point to the long beach strip of Elliott Bay Duwamish. The entire beach offers panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. A perfect autumn hiking route.

2. Coal Creek Trail

Follow the Coal Creek Trail through a deep ravine, past old mine shafts, sleepers and other coal mining remnants from the 1800s, and enjoy the autumn scenery in the woods. The slope of the entire trail is relatively flat. Walking down the entire trail, novice babies can stretch their bodies without getting too tired.

3. Grand Ridge Park

Grand Ridge Park's 7-mile trail is located just north of Sissaquah and Lake Sammamish and is lined with dense red cedar trees and is open to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. One of the highlights of this trail is a beautiful, 40-foot-long, hand-built bridge spanning Canyon Creek.

4. Granite Mountain Trail

The Granite Mountain Trail is the most popular summit trail in the Snoqualmie Pass corridor. Climb approximately 4.3 miles on this picturesque trail to enjoy 360-degree views of Mount Rainier and Snoqualmie Pass. , great value! Note: Be sure to bring enough water as there are no good quality water sources along the way.

5. Pratty Lake Trail

This trail, also near Snoqualmie Pass, provides access to multiple areas offering nearly endless possibilities for hiking, fishing, and climbing. Take an 8-mile round-trip hike through forests and rocky slopes to enjoy mountain views, wildflower meadows, and old-growth forests.

6.Wallace Falls

Located on the west side of the Cascade Mountains, Wallace Falls has a total of nine waterfalls, the highest of which is 265 feet high. This trail is a 5.5-mile round-trip hike that offers views of ancient coniferous forests, fast-flowing rivers, mountain vistas, and abundant wildlife. It is said that waterfalls on rainy days are more beautiful than on sunny days, but it is still not recommended for friends to travel on rainy days to avoid slippery roads and accidents. Safety first!

7. Mount Si

Mt si is part of the Cascade Mountains. Starting from Seattle, after leaving I-90, drive through North Bend and enjoy the scenery, local shops and specialty restaurants along the way. The trail starts in the coniferous forest and passes by beautiful creeks and boulders, there are also areas to sit and enjoy the scenery and enjoy a snack.

Haystack is a short climb to the top, where you can sit and relax in the sun, taking in the vast views (both Mount Rainier and Mt. Saint Helens can be seen!) and wildlife, and there are many hiking enthusiasts to see here. who~
